It is amazing how much PACS imaging has improved over the years. I have worked in radiology reading rooms for years, ever since I left school and I have seen lots of changes in the equipment over the years. It is great that there have been so many medical advances as it means that people get a much better quality of care than they had in the past. It is lovely not seeing the same people returning because it means that they are being cured and getting better. In the past we would have the same people coming back for more and more treatment but now that happens less because the orthopedic pacs treatment is so much improved. It is really great to know that we must be doing the people that we treat a lot of good. Hopefully further improvements will be made and people will start to recover even quicker which will be fantastic. The next step is of course to try to prevent people from needing the treatment in the first place and then they will not have to suffer anymore. I think that preventative medicine is really coming along now which is good.

My company has just got a great new IP video system which is really great. Everyone has been having really good fun, trying it out. People thought that it would be a waste of time putting it in, having never had a system like it before, they had no idea what fun it would be using it. You have to book the system now because it is so popular and everyone seems to be talking about it, either wondering when they will get a chance to use it or how much fun they had when they did use it. It is great to hear everyone excited about something as with the recession everyone has been complaining about their lack of pay rise or bonus and it is nice for that moaning to stop for a while. It is amazing that video over IP could be so exciting but it is nice to hear excited chatter and hear people more positive about things for a change in the office, rather than seeing sad faces about all of the time. Hopefully this happy mood will continue for a nice long time and everyone will forget about the lack of a pay rise for a while. Personally I am just grateful that I have a job at the moment.
